Christabell Nunez is the Founder and President of I Slay, a nonprofit based in Austin, Texas dedicated to creating radically inclusive spaces for plus-size individuals. As a plus-size Latina and former Mrs. Texas 2024, Christabell uses her platform to celebrate body confidence, community care, and representation. What began as a backyard clothing swap has grown into a movement — and she’s just getting started.

Anita Garza, Vice President

Anita is the Queen of PR, and marketing ensuring that representation is reaching plus size bodies in Austin & beyond. As a native Texan with a background in filmmaking, communications, and nonprofit event coordination. She’s worked with prestigious organizations bringing powerful stories and communities together. As a proud plus-size woman, Anita is passionate about body positivity, authentic representation, and building spaces where everyone feels seen and celebrated.

Violet serves as the Events Chair for I Slay, bringing their passion for radical inclusion and community connection to life through every gathering. With a heart for celebrating all bodies and identities, Violet curates events that are joyful, affirming, and deeply rooted in care — making sure every person feels like they truly belong.

Karla is the organizational backbone of I Slay, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes as our Secretary. Karla believes in the magic of showing up, creating safe spaces, and reminding others they’re never alone in the work.

As Treasurer, Alyssa is the numbers expert keeping I Slay grounded and growing. With degrees in economics and business, she ensures our financial strategy aligns with our mission to serve plus-size communities with transparency, care, and sustainability. Alyssa shows up fully — for the mission, the movement, and the mutual love in this community.
